Our Vision

Reading the news often leaves me with this pessimistic feeling that we are all heading into a global disaster. With a climate crisis, wars, poverty and powerful politicians lacking empathy it's hard to be optimistic towards the future of humanity. That's exactly where the idea of 'The Future Of' sprouted from. What if we started looking at solutions? What if we, normal people, experts in certain fields, activists started writing about the incredible innovations being made every single day. What if we wrote about the different perspectives, benefits and implications all on one page?
'The Future of' can be defined as an enterprise in journalism. We want to give the opportunity to as many people as possible from all around the world to share, create and debate concepts and solutions, to problems that we are facing as well as dilemas that will occur in the future.
The founding Philosophy of this enterprise is 'Phila Sophia' which is greek for the loving to learn. All discussion groups, articles, interviews and debates will entail this philosophy. Here we are arguing for the sake of 'Phila Sophia' the love of learning, over 'Phila Nike' - arguing for the sake of wining.
Eventually I’d like ‘The Future of’ to be a household name, not for the purpose of fame, rather I’d like to inspire all generations to learn, discuss ideas and think critically, rather than fall down the trap of hateful echo chambers.
We'd love for you to be part of this movement, so if your; an aspiring journalist, entrepreneur, farmer, fisher, environmentalist, teacher, student or a plain Jane with something to say, please do get in touch. We'd love you to share your ideas and perspectives (this is unpaid work) but you get to be part of a fantastic movement providing hope into our future!

Elena Roberts
Senior Editor/ creator

I'm Elena, the founder of 'The Future Of' I started this journalism enterprise as I've got an insatiable curiosity, questioning everything, wondering why people believe in different ideas and a need to make the world a better place. Like many of us I don't feel happy after watching the news, so I have decided to create this type of journalism that focuses on the solutions and innovations to tragedies we are facing across the world.
